Vince Zampella, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California he was 55 years old.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The renowned game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
