Paceman Gus Atkinson Adds to the English team's Injury Problems.
'Serious blow' for the English camp as Atkinson leaves the field with a hamstring injury.
Gus Atkinson further complicated England's injury problems when he left the field on the second morning in the Melbourne Test in the Ashes series.
The right-arm seamer felt a problem in his left hamstring post-delivery that he bowled at the MCG.
The touring camp stated the 27-year-old felt some "soreness" and required time on the sidelines to undergo evaluation "during the day".
The final Test of the tour in Sydney starts on Sunday, 4 January.
England have previously lost fast bowlers one seamer with a knee problem and another paceman because of a side injury on this Ashes tour.
Matthew Fisher was added to the party to provide backup.
The seamer had a tough time early in the series, managing only a handful of scalps.
He was dropped for the Adelaide match, before being recalled for the Boxing Day match in the playing XI.
The county bowler improved at the MCG, claiming a couple of wickets in Australia's first innings, and scoring 28 runs while batting among just a trio of English batsmen who passed ten runs.
Following a brief spell at the end of day one, he came back for the second day's play and had nightwatchman Scott Boland caught behind.
However, at the end of that over, he sent down a slower ball to Travis Head and promptly felt his left hamstring.
Gus Atkinson was recalled for the fourth Ashes Test after being left out the previous Test.
