Esteemed Performer Pat Finn, Known For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Dies at the Age of Sixty.

The actor Pat Finn had a key role in the popular series The Middle.

American actor Finn, who was seen in iconic TV shows like "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has died at 60 years old.

The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in LA this Monday following treatment for cancer since 2022, per reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his relatives stated in a statement.

They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".

An Extensive TV Career

Finn's first television role was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.

He was also seen in a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.

He appeared as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.

During the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous well-known programs, including:

  • "King of Queens"
  • "Friends"
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

He was most recognized for playing the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight series over nearly a decade.

His film credits encompass It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.

"Pat guided, supported, and advised countless students during his career and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Offering condolences, peer actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.

Pat Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, three children, and his family.
