The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that draws so many people into the NFL

This outcome could have created things up for the New England Patriots to creep back into a leading position they formerly held, with a schedule that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 competitors

Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award

The Breakdown - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a bad day for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Buffalo team to answer

The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were second best from the beginning as the Miami team ran out 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's initial first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - yes the Dolphins had 10 days to get ready but it was nonetheless a massive egg produced by one of the NFL's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but running back De'Von Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two scores

Containing the NFL's top running game was crucial too, with James Cook and teammates registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and slightly more than fifty percent their 161.5 yard season average

Then there were the three critical ball losses, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the scoring area resulting in a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his final quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to a touchdown just later

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a deficit on defense and Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team out of it - rather than the composed, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year

The Dolphins have served up a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of a trend, but for the Bills they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the American Football Conference East

In Focus - New England See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different eight and two teams in the league, all AFC teams, but could they be the best?

You can pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and Indianapolis actually for feasting on the lesser sides, with just five of their total twenty-four victories achieved against opponents with a winning record - and one example was the Colts beating the Denver

Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their pair of losses occurred in new head coach Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight victories, similar to Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to get ready was huge

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he certainly earns credit for bravery after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to success

The defense is solid and rookie rusher TreVeyon Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth runner to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown

Although you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the best record thanks to their remaining opponents - which features just one game against a winning team, although a huge one against Buffalo

Visiting the Ravens is challenging too, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Chargers (who could also compete for top seed but face the identical challenge) and additionally the Packers on the fixture list

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a long way to go but the door is open for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Clash

Both squads with solid claims to be superior to all of the three eight and two sides are National Football Conference West opponents the Seattle and Rams, who both put up 40 burgers to reach seven and two before next week's major game between the two in Los Angeles

Both have won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an high standard (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses allowing under 20 points a game

Both could easily be without a loss as well - especially the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a score

The Seahawks were also defeated to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely among the best sides in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far

Top Performer - Taylor
